Overview
After the success of their dual sport Kollter ES1, Enduro-geared DS1 series dirt bike, and the recently released RS1 sports bike, Kollter is now catering to urban commuters with their classic Café Racer, the KOLLTER CS1. Café racers are statistically the most desirable design of motorcycles among urban dwellers, and the CS1 proves this appeal with its immaculate design. It comes in Navy Blue and Military Green, with options for tubeless aluminum wheels or spoke wheels with inner tubes.
Motor, Battery and Charging
A powerful 15HP axial flux electric motor sits behind its classic shell, delivering over 400NM to the rear wheel through a carbon belt drive. Below its “fuel tank” is a 4.5KWH lithium battery, capable of propelling the bike for over 100km on a single charge. Unique to this bike is its charging system: the 3.3kW charger is integrated inside the bike, allowing the battery to be charged via a Level 2 J1772 plug in less than 2 hours from zero, or through a regular power cable from a 110V outlet.
70kmh “L” Version vs. 100kmh “M” Version
The Kollter CS1 does not require a motorcycle driver’s license, although it is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 100km/h. It can be electronically governed to 70km/h, which is the maximum limit for a Limited Speed Motorcycle (LSM). It complies with LSM regulations with its 1.5KW continuous power, but with a peak power of 11KW and instant torque, it can compete with 250cc ICE motorbikes.
Practical and Agile
CS1 is built as very practical bike to serve your daily needs. It even have a storage where the fuel tank sits. Built with a lightweight aluminum alloy frame and weighing less than 300lbs, this bike is very agile and responsive which make it perfect personal transportation solution for entry level bikers or the ones who love the classic café racers.
