Overview
The Super Soco CPX, V-moto’s first maxi scooter, quickly gained popularity around the world upon its release in 2020. It captured the hearts of riders due to its ideal suitability for city landscapes. Compared to the more basic models from Super Soco, the CPx boasts advanced features that set it apart.
Considering its urban-focused design, the CPX comes in two versions in Canada: an LSM variant with a maximum speed of 70 km/h, which doesn’t require a motorcycle driver’s license and a motorcycle variant with a maximum speed of 95 km/h.
MOTOR
Equipped with a patented, newly developed by Bosch wheel hub motor (max. 4,800 W / 170 Nm) featuring five speed levels, including a reverse gear, the CPx delivers impressive acceleration up to a maximum speed of 95 km/h. Its unparalleled dynamics shine in any situation. This motor offers instant torque comparable to the TC Max, while the built-in wheel motors contribute to the bike’s stability through an additional gyro effect. The motor is cleverly mounted in a single arm, making wheel removal a quick two-minute job.
BATTERY
Depending on the chosen model, the CPx comes with one or two 60V batteries. Despite weighing 18 kg each, they are removable and easy to charge at home or in the office. A full recharge of each battery takes approximately three hours using a standard mains charger,
providing a range of about 60 to 70 km. It’s worth noting that the charger can be a bit noisy when plugged in, and the scooter lacks casters that would facilitate transportation. The battery gauge integrated into the batteries allows for easy monitoring of the state of charge without having to remove them from the scooter. Additionally, the two-wheeler can be charged directly by plugging it into a charger, thanks to the conveniently placed plug between the driver’s legs.
BRAKES
The CPx is equipped with a single brake disc for both the front and rear wheels. This is further enhanced by a combined braking system (CBS), meaning that squeezing the rear brake lever also activates the front brake slightly. In emergency situations, both brake levers engage the brakes on both wheels, while the right brake lever activates the front wheel only.
LIGHTS
Modern LED technology illuminates the CPx’s headlights, taillights, and integrated indicators. The high beam provides a remarkable 75m of radiation distance, with brightness levels of 29,000Cd for high beam and 13,480Cd for low beam.
DISPLAY
The easily readable LCD display adapts to ambient light conditions and conveniently presents all essential information at a glance. It provides real-time updates on the battery state of charge (SOC) and visually indicates the current consumption. The display can be adjusted to show the trip distance, range, or motor rpm. It also features a clock, ambient and motor temperature readings, and the time.
SUSPENSION & COMFORT
The CPx boasts telescopic front suspension with 110mm of travel and a centralized hydraulic shock with 30mm of travel, mounted on a single arm. One of the CPx’s standout features is its exceptional seating comfort. The welcoming saddle accommodates two passengers comfortably, allowing for smooth rides with a companion. The driver enjoys ample legroom, which can also serve as a language platform, in addition to the spacious rack located at the back.
CONVENIENCE AND PRACTICALITY
The CPx offers some storage space under the seat, providing room for essential items. Super Soco has also focused on user-friendly features, such as easy removal of the rear wheel for maintenance purposes. The scooter is capable of carrying a load of up to 200 kg and comes with a rear rack and front tall screen as standard features. Additionally, the CPx includes a reverse mode for effortless maneuvering in tight spaces.
